Great Sea supports a wide variety of voice commands in order to accomodate all play styles. To review this information while playing, just ask your voice assistant of choice for help.
Objective
Great Sea is a game of exploration played entirely by voice. Collect all hidden treasures scattered across the ocean to win. Run out of health and the game is over. Check your health and remaining treasure count at any time by saying "status." To start a new game, simply say "start a new game."
Travel
Navigate the sea by speaking any direction. Valid directions include north, northeast, east, southeast, etcetera. Winds will periodically shift as you navigate from island to island. A headwind impedes movement, while a tailwind doubles travel speed and distance. Maps are procedurally generated, and the locations of treasures and hazards are chosen at random at the beginning of each new adventure.
Landmarks
You will come across many islands while sailing the open ocean. Some of the ocean's islands are hazardous, while others are home to the treasures you seek. You cannot collect an island's treasure more than once per game. However, repeat visits to a hazardous island will continue to deal damage.
